The number of Alzheimer's patients are constantly on the rise. Today the statistics for Alzheimer's are really frightening. It is estimated that one in eight Americans have Alzheimer's disease at the age of 65 and we all know that today 65 is the new 45.
By the time a person reaches the age of 80 - 85, it is estimated that 50% of all Americans either have or will get Alzheimer's.
The cost to the U.S. government is astronomical. The cure for Alzheimer's is now more pressing than ever. Alzheimer's has become the epidemic of our century. Baby boomers are rapidly becoming of Alzheimer's age. The first Boomers turned 60 in 2006. Sixty-five is usually the youngest age that "sporadic" Alzheimer's can occur, although Early Onset Alzheimer's can develop as young as 40 or even younger.
